If you want a larger home ice rink, or one with lines and goalie creases in it, Global Synthetic Ice offers Super-Glide Heavy Duty. Heavy Duty uses the same proprietary Super-Glide polymer material and Seamless Technology, it just comes in a larger and heavier sheet. Larger sheets are more appropriate for a larger backyard rink. The larger sheets also require more thickness to prevent bending, so Super-Glide Heavy Duty sheets are 4’ x 8’ and ½” thick. Professional installation is recommended for Heavy Duty, as additional surface preparation, underlayment and experience are required to ensure your satisfaction with your backyard ice rink for many years to come.
Super-Glide Heavy Duty brings another Global Synthetic Ice innovation, embedded lines and goalie creases for hockey games. The Super-Glide Mini Rink kit gives you full markings in a smaller size that is ideal for backyard ice skating. For full-size backyard ice rinks, regulation NHL (or CHL) markings are available.
